William Jenack’s auction of December 3, 2017 will feature an eclectic sale with something for everyone on their holiday shopping lists. Offerings to include books, ephemera, clocks, vintage toys and trains, watches, jewelry, bronzes, furniture and fine art.
Leading the sale will be the fine art with offerings to include an oil on canvas of horses and pigs and a farmyard with horses by John Frederick Herring Jr. ( UK 1815-1907); oil on artist board wooded landscape by Robert Henri (American 1865-1929); sanguine chalk on paper of a cherub by Giovanni Battista Cipriani (Italy 1727-1783); oil on canvas vase of flowers by David Burliuk (Russian/American (1882-1967); oil on canvas of a sailing sloop by William Pierce Stubbs (American 1842-1909); oil on canvas board abstract musician by Maurice Bilton (American 20th Century); water color “Street in Spain” by Alexander Charles Robinson (American 1867-1952); oil on canvas board landscape with pond by Moorehead Phillips (American -1945); oil on canvas autumn landscape by Sheldon Parsons (American 1866-1943).
Horological highlights include vintage Seth Thomas brass ship’s bell clock, Chelsea/Negus NY ship’s bell clock, Schatz ship’s bell clock, Sevenfriday, Q2/01 Industrial Series stainless 21-jewel automatic wristwatch, a M2-02 PVD coated stainless 21-jewel automatic wristwatch and a P3/03 Industrial Series 21-jewel automatic wristwatch along with others.
Jewelry to be sold include a 18K white gold choker, 18K white gold snake link necklace, 9K hugs and kisses necklace, 14K yellow gold emerald and diamond pendant with matching earrings, 14k yellow gold and opal earrings, 14K yellow gold and cameo earrings, 18K yellow gold diamond , sapphire and ruby hinged earrings, 14K yellow gold blue topaz pendant and matching earrings, 14K yellow gold Retro design citrine earrings, 14K yellow gold rainbow gem set ring, 14K yellow gold heart shaped peridot and diamond ring, platinum and diamond ring, 18K yellow gold and opal pendant, 14K yellow gold charm bracelet, matched 3-strand freshwater pearl necklace and a 14K white gold and diamond engagement ring.
Books and ephemera to include complete set (10) volumes E. Benezit dictionary of Painters, Sculptors and Graveurs; lot (2) volumes including Verura,” Life of a Master Jeweler”, Corbett 2002 and “Cartier 1900-1939” Rudoe 1997; United States coin reference books from the Colonial times to present, lot (2) volumers “Tiffany Jewels” Loring 1999 and “Faberge, Lost and Found” Snowman 1993; “Drums” by James Boyd with illustrations by N.C. Wyeth; “For Whom the Bell Tolls” Ernest Hemingway Scribners 1940 1st edition; “Satan in Goray” by Issac Bashevis Singer, illustrated by Ira Moskowitz (with original pen and ink drawing on the interior of cover) signed, Sweetwater Editions 1981 #91/475 slip cased; “The Fuller Collection of Pacific Artifacts” Force 1975. Ephemera offerings include (3) albums of Hollywood Film Studio promotional photographs from the 1960’s and 1970’s; vintage post card album featuring England, Ireland and Scotland; lot of assorted albumin world photographs including California circa 1910, Europe, Egypt, India and Burma circa 1910; lot assorted Real Photo postcards of New York, Pennsylvania and Alaska; lot of political, patriotic and humorous postcards; album of vintage postcards including Sullivan County NY; album of vintage holiday postcards.
Vintage model trains and accessories include Penn Line HO scale GG-1 electric engine, Penn Line HO scale Decapod 2-10-0 steam locomotive and tender, Penn Line HO scale Mikado 2-8-2 steam locomotive and tender, Lionel HO scale #5735 Rock Island Husky Switcher train set with box, lot (2) Bowser HO scale kits including K-4 Pacific 4-6-2 steam locomotive/tender and long haul tender (NIB), Penn Line HO scale diesel locomotive and rolling stock, Penn Line HO scale Atlantic and K-4 Pacific locomotives/tenders with boxes and many more lots of rolling stock, track, transformers, accessories.
