William Jenack’s specialty sale of June 26, 2016 featuring guitars and coins drew a larger than normal in-house crowd and intense online bidding. Most of the guitar and amplifier section of the sale belonged to a single owner who claimed he suffered from “G.A.S.” aka Guitar Acquisition Syndrome. William Jenack’s sale of May 22, 2016 saw many lots top their high estimate and in some cases several times over. There was even some surprises in the “brown furniture” category as several pieces fared much better than anticipated. Some artwork also did very well with two pieces nearly tripling their high estimates.
