If you are unable to attend the auction in person, and wish to place absentee bids, we will be happy to bid on your behalf, according to the Terms & Conditions of sale.

To place bids, after reviewing the Current Auction Catalog, fill out the Absentee Bid Form. Be sure to accurately record lot numbers, descriptions, and the top price you are willing to pay for each lot, excluding the buyer's premium. Please place bids in numerical order. Absentee bids must contain a credit card # (even if you are not going to pay for your purchases with a credit card) with your signature affixed. Your credit card guarantees the good will of your bidding!

Absentee bids are executed in competition with the audience, on an alternate basis. Due to the uncertainties of bidding patterns, the audience may win a lot for the same amount authorized by an absentee bidder. A (+) sign to the right of the bid amount will authorize our representatives to bid one additional bid. In the event of identical bids, the bid received first will take precedence. In addition, the auctioneer has the discretion of opening the item at 50% of your left bid. Note: All auction sales & telephone bidding are recorded!

Bidding Increments

From $100-$500, Increments of $25; From $500-$1,000, Increments of $50;
From $1,000-$5,000, Increments of $100; From $5,000 and Up, Increments of $250

Phone bidding will be accepted, provided arrangements are made by 6:00 pm on the day prior to sale date and sufficient phone lines are still available. A phone bid is established by filling out the appropriate information on our bid forms. Only completed applications will be processed.

If you have any questions regarding our bidding process, please contact The Gallery at (845)469-9095.

Only successful bidders are contacted. If you are the high bidder on a lot, you will be contacted by phone, fax or e-mail. Phone or e-mail inquiries regarding your success cannot be answered until the second day after the auction. Please note that if your bid is successful you are legally responsible to make payment according to the terms set forth here. Successful bids will be charged to your credit card or should you wish to pay in a different manner (cash/check), you must make arrangements prior to the sale. In such cases, purchases charged to your credit card will be canceled upon receipt of other funds. If timely payment is not made, legal proceedings may result and no future bids will be accepted.

Packaging and handling of purchased lots is at the risk and expense to the purchaser. As a service to the purchaser, William Jenack Auctioneers will arrange packing, shipping and insurance with a local shipping/packaging agent. All expenses incurred must be paid for by the purchaser. These fees will be charged to your credit card. We will not be held responsible for choosing a shipper in the event of any act and/or omissions in packing. William J. Jenack Auctioneers does not assume any responsibility for damages.

A daily storage charge will be incurred 7 days after notification, unless payment and shipping/pickup arrangements have been made.

Our printed materials (i.e. catalogs & advertisements) are meant merely as a guide. William J. Jenack Auctioneers do not warrant the accuracy, genuineness, authenticity, condition, descriptions, weight, count or measure of any of the lots specified herein. We recommend that you make a personal examination of the objects for which you wish to bid. Please make yourself familiar with the merchandise you are bidding on, together with the terms & conditions. Please determine condition, genuineness and/or authenticity BEFORE you bid as all items are sold "As Is, Where Is"! Statements made by Auctioneer and/or staff of Auctioneer are opinions only and should not be construed as statements of fact.
